great parks near los angeles

There’s something great about going to a park. Whether you are taking your kids to learn about local historical events, you want to work out with your friends, or you want some quiet time outdoors for yourself, there is a park for you near Los Angeles and City of Industry, CA. Today, we’re looking at some of the greatest parks just down the road from the city.

1. Countrywood Park

One of our favorite outdoor recreation areas just down the road from City of Industry is Countrywood Park at 16817 E. Copper Hill Rd. This six-acre park is a great place to take your favorite book and read at a picnic table while your husband grills. There are also picnic shelters and group picnic shelters. This park is also great because of the children’s play areas. They are safe for kids, and kids love them.

2. Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park

Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park at 17250 Colima Rd is another great park near City of Industry. Like Countrywood Park, this regional park features grills, children’s play areas, and several types of picnic shelters. There are also outdoor kitchens and an amphitheater that is great for concerts in the park. Additionally, this is a very historically significant park, and you can find a memorial here.

Furthermore, this is a great park to work out at. You can take tennis lessons or play tennis with your friends. You can horseback ride down equestrian trails, cycle through the paved paths in this park, or bike down the mountain biking trails. There are also fitness zones, fitness par courses, and hiking trails. You can also enjoy:

  • Bird walks
  • Soccer
  • Nature walks

3. Laguna Lake Park

If you’re an avid angler, you can’t go wrong checking out Laguna Lake Park at 3120 Lakeview Dr. You can fish for catfish and trout in Laguna Lake and keep them for dinner. There is a chance that you will catch bluegill or large bass, but you will need to release them if you catch them.

There are also several calf- and quad-killing hikes you can tackle at Laguna Lake Park. We love the double loop, featuring a 0.7-mile hike around Laguna Lake and the 1.2-mile Lucy Van Der Hoff Loop.

There are lots of great green spaces just down the road from City of Industry. However, you can’t enjoy them with your family if you don’t have a reliable car. If your current car is in the shop too often, it is time to get into a better car. Contact us today at Puente Hills Subaru near Los Angeles to schedule a test drive for a 2024 Subaru Impreza.
