Subaru Share The Love 2025 - Lloyd R.
Subaru is now celebrating the 2025 Subaru Share the Love Event, in which we come together to support a variety of national and local charity partners. From November 20, 2025, through January 2, 2026, customers can support national or local charities by purchasing or leasing a new Subaru. Qualifying routine service orders will also be eligible at participating retailers. We're celebrating the 18th year of the Subaru Share the Love Event by supporting Subaru charity partners, along with the hometown charity. We are proud to support ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, the National Park Foundation, and our local hometown charity. Puente Hills Subaru supports its hometown charity partner Circle of Friends. Circle of Friends is a nonprofit organization established to promote friendships between children with autism and children with and without special needs. Circle of Friends was founded in January 2002 by two families with teenagers with autism and five high school students. The parents of children with disabilities desired for their children to have meaningful friendships both with other children with autism and other developmental disabilities, as well as peers who are typically developing. The goal of this event is to continue driving vehicle sales and making an impact in your community through donations from each vehicle sale and service. The Subaru Share the Love Event also supports our mission to spread the Subaru Love Promise as far as possible, with a target of raising more than $350 million by the end of this, our 18th year. We will continue to partner with the same four national charities. We thank you and all our Subaru retailers for participating in the Subaru Share the Love Event and making a difference in your local communities. During the Subaru Share the Love Event, for each sale or lease of a new vehicle, Subaru donates $250 to the charity(s) chosen by the customer. The customer can select from four national charities and up to two retailer-selected hometown charities. In addition to the Subaru $250 donation, retailers can participate in the Subaru Share the Love Event by contributing a minimum of $50 per vehicle to their selected hometown charities, with 100% of the retailer donation benefiting those charities.

The Industry Sheriff's Station Youth Activities League is a non-profit organization working together with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The support has allowed us to continue providing these programs free of charge to all participants. Your contributions go directly to providing quality programs designed to keep our children gang and drug-free. Subaru and Puente Hills Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Subaru Loves Pets, Priceless Pets - Lloyd R.
Pets make the world a better place, and Subaru is proud to help make the world a better place for them. Nearly 80% of Subaru owners have a pet. According to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA), approximately 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters in 2024. Every October, Subaru retailers partner with local animal welfare organizations to help prepare shelter pets for adoption by directly funding grants administered by the ASPCA and hosting various pet events (adoption, microchipping, vaccinations, etc.). Puente Hills Subaru, City of Industry, CA, has partnered with Priceless Pets for 3 years. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Puente Hills Subaru held a pet adoption and microchipping event with Priceless Pets. We believe that pet adoption is not just a choice, but a responsibility, and we encourage everyone to consider adopting a pet from a shelter. Priceless Pets is a non-profit animal welfare organization that operates its life-saving efforts out of multiple adoption centers known as 'The Orphanage.' These centers, located in Chino Hills, Claremont, Costa Mesa, and City of Industry, are made possible by the generous support of our community. All animals are rescued from various circumstances and are in our care until their new forever families adopt them! We focus heavily on education and animal welfare through our Priceless Pets Ranch and Learning Center in Chino Hills. We also operate a veterinary clinic that serves the public at a low cost to pet parents. We are a donation-based organization that relies heavily on community support and private donations to continue saving animals in need! We are dedicated to our life-saving mission: saving one by one until there are none. Subaru and the ASPCA have been partners since 2008 through the Subaru Share the Love Event. Throughout our partnership, we've held adoption events, participated in the ASPCA Grant Program, and supported other initiatives/sponsorships. At Subaru, we believe all pets deserve a loving home. Our donations, totaling over $70 million to national and local organizations, have enabled us to support the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 700,000 animals. This is a testament to the impact we can make when we come together for a common cause. Founded in 1866, the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) was the first animal welfare organization established in North America and today serves as the nation's leading voice for vulnerable and victimized animals. With more than 2 million supporters nationwide, the ASPCA is committed to preventing cruelty to dogs, cats, equines, and farm animals throughout the United States. Subaru and the ASPCA have been partners since 2008 through the Subaru Share the Love® Event. Additionally, throughout our partnership, we have held adoption events, participated in the ASPCA Grant Program, and supported other initiatives/sponsorships. Our primary mission is to rescue homeless animals from open-access shelters in our surrounding cities and bring them into our care to find their new forever homes. We believe that the community plays a crucial role in this process, and we encourage everyone to visit our storefront adoption centers and consider adopting a pet. We are a 90% volunteer-based organization and are always looking for more dedicated individuals to join our cause. During the Subaru Loves Pets Initiative, 2026 Subaru Outback dog toys (custom-made by BARK) are given away to customers during the month. New Dog Parent kits and/or New Cat Parent kits at enrollment to donate to their partner organization or give away to families who adopt. Priceless Pets' veterinary team is committed to providing the highest-quality veterinary care while maintaining fair, affordable pricing for the community. We'd love to see you as a patient at our clinic, and look forward to taking care of your furriest family members!
Subaru Loves Learning, Helping Schools and Students In Need - Lloyd R.
August is Subaru Loves Learning, one of the five pillars of the Subaru Community. Subaru believes in making learning accessible to as many students as possible. Subaru retailers are partnering with AdoptAClassroom.org to adopt classrooms in their local communities. Each adopted classroom receives $500 in flexible funding through the AdoptAClassroom.org marketplace, allowing teachers to purchase the supplies they need most. Retailers can enhance their classroom adoptions by donating optional school supply kits curated by AdoptAClassroom.org, filled with the most in-demand, grade-level-appropriate items based on national purchasing data. Shipped directly to retailers for delivery, these kits help cover classroom essentials, allowing teachers to stretch their adoption funds even further. AdoptAClassroom.org emailed each retailer to introduce their partner school's principal. Through Adopt-A-Classroom.org, Puente Hills Subaru, City of Industry, California, partnered with Nelson Elementary for the third year. Puente Hills Subaru coordinated with Nelson's Principal, Collin Miller, to plan a surprise announcement for ten teachers. For the past five years, Subaru and our retailers have partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org to support over 950,000 students at high-need schools across the nation. Subaru is proud to be a leading corporate supporter of AdoptAClassroom.org. AdoptAClassroom.org is a national nonprofit organization that believes every child deserves the tools and materials necessary to learn and succeed in school without teachers having to spend their own money to fill the gap. The nonprofit advances equity in education by providing PreK-12 teachers and schools with the necessary resources and support. AdoptAClassroom.org supports the Department of Education philosophy, believing teachers are professionals who know best what they need for their classrooms and for their students to be successful. Therefore, rather than providing teachers and schools with overstocked or donated supplies that they may or may not need, we empower them by providing funding in the form of a credit on the AdoptAClassroom.org online marketplace, which allows them to shop and choose the supplies they need and want when they need them. There are three priority criteria for AdoptAClassroom.org when matching a retailer with a school. 1. The school is a high-needs school. 2. The school is in your AOR. 3. The school is as close as possible to your store's address. AdoptAClassroom.org categorizes high-needs schools based on nationwide data from schools. A school with Title 1 status or one with 40% or more of its student population qualifying for free or reduced Lunches is considered high-needs. Puente Hills Subaru's volunteer staff, Lloyd, John, Annabelle, Jessica, and Daniel, were delighted and overjoyed to participate in the Subaru Loves Learning event at Nelson Elementary School.

Virginia (Ginny) Leigh Blough - Lloyd R.
Virginia (Ginny) Leigh Blough, the owner of a 2020 Forester Limited. Ginny came into the Puente Hills Subaru Service Department for routine maintenance. Ginny also had questions about the email she received from Subaru regarding the update of the Starlink app to the MySubaru app. Ginny shared that she is a senior citizen and knows nothing about electronics. She was concerned and needed assistance. Service Advisors referred Ginny to me after they could not attend. My roles at our retail organization are Love-Encore Delivery Specialist and Love Promise Champion. Ginny was understandably overwhelmed, expressing her lack of tech-savviness and uncertainty about where to begin. I reassured her that we would start by accessing the 'Settings' on the 2020 Forester's Multimedia Screen to find the 'Wi-Fi' option. Accessing the Settings on the Multimedia System was a completely new experience for Ginny, who had only driven her Forester on the freeway once and had not yet experienced the Love-Encore Redelivery for her Limited Forester. I showed Ginny how we would access the General Settings Screen on the Multimedia Screen. Ginny began to panic. I calmed her down with HEART, patience, and knowledge, providing her with a Love-Encore Journal to write notes. This support reassured Ginny and made her feel more at ease. I started slowly, explaining the process of Wi-Fi and the connection needed for the new MySubaru update, which would be to connect the Multimedia System to the Wi-Fi Router in her home. Ginny started writing notes and started to panic again. Sharing, I will never be able to complete that. I asked Ginny where she lived. I would be willing to go to her home. She hesitated and asked how much that would cost. I replied that there is no cost. It is a complementary service. She was surprised. Ginny then shared that both her son and daughter owned Subarus, and she would ask them to help her. I told Ginny to call me once she got home. A couple of hours passed, and she called me, sharing that her daughter had advised her not to connect to the Wi-Fi router in the house, but to connect to the Hotspot on her cellphone instead. Ginny became more frustrated and confused than ever! I reassured her and explained in simpler terms that it was better to connect to the Wi-Fi router in the home. I gave her specific directions on how to go about it. I told her to download the instructions from the email she received on her cellphone. She shared that she had already gotten the Wi-Fi router number and was willing to try it. I told Ginny to call me if she had any difficulties or if she was able to connect successfully. Ginny called me about an hour later. I could hear the happiness and jubilation in Ginny's voice as she shouted on the phone. "Lloyd, I did it." I connected the Wi-Fi router to the Multimedia System in my Forester, and I was able to download the MySubaru update successfully. Ginny shared that her husband was overjoyed, delighted, and proud of her. Since it was her first time connecting to anything electronically, her husband had always connected electronics for her. This successful outcome made Ginny feel accomplished and confident in her abilities.

Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter - Lloyd R.
The Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter, Inc., provides emergency and support services to victims of domestic violence and their children by seeking funds and contributions, rendering services, and fostering interest in and support for it. In 1977, a group of community citizens came together to learn more about a problem that had just recently named: Domestic Violence. The Southern California Coalition on Battered Women had formed the year before, and communities all across the United States were waking up to this ever-growing problem. The committee's first action was to open a lifeline. Calls began almost immediately. They wondered what to do with the victims. Some of the founders opened their homes to the fleeing women and children. They knew this was not a long-term answer. They rented a house for their first shelter. The Women's and Children's Shelter is Puente Hills Subaru, the City of Industry, CA's Hometown Charity. This is the fifth year Puente Hills Subaru has donated to the WCCS through Subaru of America's National Share The Love Event. Over the last 17 years, through the Subaru Share the Love Event, Subaru and our participating retailers have donated nearly $320 million to charity, with customers choosing between four national charities and almost 2,300 hometown charities. The program aims to create change in the areas Subaru and its owners care about the most, including environment, health, education, pets, and community. Additionally, Subaru retailers provide direct funding through grants to local animal welfare partners. Since 1978, the Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter has diligently served domestic violence victims of all genders and ages. As part of our program, we collaborate with other agencies to improve overall health, wellness, and economic stability; provide culturally relevant and supportive intervention; provide educational information to prevent family violence; and maintain a 24-hour lifeline. We operate on a 24-hour basis, and all of our programs are free of charge. WCCS is located in Whittier and is part of Service Planning Area 7 (SPA 7). We serve the surrounding cities and the rest of LA County. The Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter provides a 24-hour hotline with immediate help. It offers crisis assistance, safety planning, information, and referrals to service providers throughout Los Angeles County and English/Spanish operators. Provides a 45-day emergency shelter. Food, clothing, and hygiene items are available. Support groups, parenting classes, transportation, and legal advocacy classes are also offered. There is an on-site school for shelter children. Other services provided are walk-in domestic violence supportive services for survivors, crisis intervention, safety planning, and case management, assistance in creating a self-sufficiency plan, help with financial, legal, medical, and housing advocacy, and temporary restraining orders. Domestic violence support group, parenting, and life-skills classes. "Driving the future of community trees forward with Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation." - Lloyd R.
On Saturday, March 15, 2025, Puente Hills, in the City Industry, CA, recognized Arbor Day and the partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation by hosting a tree giveaway. "The Arbor Day Foundation and Subaru have teamed up to establish the most extensive corporate community tree distribution program in the U.S. The Arbor Day Foundation is proud to partner with Subaru and its retailers nationwide as they provide regionally appropriate trees at their stores, helping put more trees into the hands (and yards) of people across the country. Leaving the world better than we found it and making it better, street by street. Trees are complex at work, providing oxygen, cooling busy streets, cleaning our air, and improving our physical and mental health. Planting community trees makes our world better. However, we lose 36 million neighborhood trees yearly to extreme weather, disease, pests, development, and age. That's why this work is so important. Distributing trees directly to residents is a meaningful way to compensate for lost trees and grow thriving neighborhoods for generations."

A Love Promise Moment - Lloyd R.
Maria is the proud owner of a 2019 Subaru Forester, in the role of a Subaru Star Delivery Specialist, Love-Encore Manager, and Love Promise Champion. I redelivered her Forester to her in 2019. On Wednesday, March 6, 2025, Maria approached my office looking worried. I asked how I could help, and she shared that she was trying to purchase new tires for her Forester but had lost the key to the wheel locks and didn't know what to do. I reassured her and suggested we visit our Parts Department to speak with Parts Manager Louie Castillo. After explaining her situation, Louie told her not to worry. He mentioned that the Parts Department has master keys for twenty-one types of wheel locks and hoped one would fit her wheel licks. Maria was relieved to hear there might be a solution. Louie then went to Maria's Forester to try out the keys, and fortunately, one of them fit the locks perfectly. Maria was overjoyed but hesitated when she learned there would be a $40 charge for the key. Louie kindly offered to cover the cost for her. His generous and thoughtful gesture touched Maria, expressing her heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for his help and creating a Love Promise Moment.

Subaru Loves Learning: Nelson Elementary School - Lloyd R.
Subaru believes that all students deserve an equal opportunity for a quality education. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers are proud to be the most prominent corporate supporter of AdoptAClassroom.org and will have supported more than 750,000 students nationwide. Education can change lives, but some student's families cannot afford the essential supplies for learning. Subaru and our retailers partner with organizations like AdoptAClassroom.org to get students the learning materials and resources they need to thrive in the classroom. Millions of students in high-needs schools need more supplies and learning materials to be successful in the classroom. 92% of teachers in the United States have students who cannot afford school supplies, often requiring teachers to purchase resources using their money. Puente Hills Subaru, City of Industry, California, through AdoptAClassroom.org, has adopted Nelson Elementary School, La Puente, California, for the 2nd year. The month of August is Subaru Loves Learning. Due to administrative changes at Nelson, we had to delay our planning for the mini-event. The school's new principal, Collin Miller, stresses the urgent need for our support. We believe in being a positive force in the communities in which we live and work, not just with donations but with actions that set an example for others to follow. Education is one of our five core pillars: Environment, Health, Pets, Community, and the Subaru Share the Love Event. We aim to create change in the areas we and our owners care about the most. Nelson Elementary opened on July 1, 1980. It is a public school in La Puente, CA, serving grades K-6 in Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. It has received a GreatSchools Summary Rating of 5 out of 10 based on various school quality measures. Students at this school are making more academic progress from one grade to the next than students at other schools in the state. Test scores at this school fall below the state average. This suggests that most students at this school may perform below grade level. Underserved students at this school may be falling behind other students in the state, and this school may have significant achievement gaps. These ratings reflect how much progress different student groups have made from one year to the next at this school compared to schools with similar proficiency levels across the state. It's a helpful way to measure how well a school is helping kids learn and advance. These ratings show how much students from low-income households improved academically from one year to the next compared to schools with similar proficiency levels across the state. This shows the percentage of students with disabilities absent for 15 or more days compared to the state average. High absenteeism rates mean less time for teaching and learning. Schools that create a positive culture help all students thrive. With the support of Subaru and AdoptAClassroom.org, Nelson Elementary School is making significant strides in closing the achievement gap and creating a positive learning environment for all students. As the Love Promise Champion for Puente Hills Subaru, using the Five HEART Pillars is gratifying. Doing the right thing creates Love Promise Moments, and we are seeing the positive impact of our actions at Nelson Elementary School. Subaru and our retailers are steadfast in our commitment to supporting education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning. We provide teachers across the nation with funding to purchase the supplies and resources they need to help their students thrive in the classroom.
