photography in Los Angeles

Are you ready for your close-up? The Los Angeles metropolitan area is a paradise of photo-worthy opportunities. Take your phone, camera, and selfie stick to these Instagrammable places in and around the City of Industry, CA.

1. Workman and Temple Homestead Museum

Industry may be best-known for its collection of businesses, but the city does boast one very notable tourist attraction. East Don Julian Road’s 15415 address has served as the grounds for William Workman’s adobe house since the 1840s. If you want a photo that truly takes you back in time, this National Register of Historic Places landmark is your destination.

The building stands at two stories and still includes many of the oldest relics, such as a ceiling cartouche, marble fireplace, and a 19th-century staircase. As if this intriguing fixture were not enough, you can also visit for free and take snapshots of an early 20th-century Spanish Colonial Revival work of architectural art known as La Casa Nueva. Several features are definitely worth a photo souvenir, like the beautiful stained glass, the modern Madonna, and the Temple Mansion tepee.

2. Pacific Palms Resort

Vacation at 1 Industrial Hills Parkway, and you’ll bask in some of the most majestic and camera-friendly views of the San Gabriel Valley you can imagine. This full-service luxury hotel is a favorite for big events such as weddings for a reason. The tree-lined landscape and stunning mountains standing guard in the distance make for a serene scene that could easily be on a postcard.

Amenities include a spa, boutiques, and the Industry Hills Golf Club, which is an Instagrammable mainstay in and of itself. This popular greenway and its breathtaking scenery have been featured in Hollywood hits like Caddyshack. Pack those golf-clubs with confidence with the Subaru Outback. This attractive SUV is ideal for an Insta backdrop and also happens to offer up to 75 cubic feet of cargo space.

3. Industrial Hub

The city does its name proud as the headquarters of over 3,000 businesses. In fact, businesses and their employees easily outnumber the 264 city residents. If you’re interested in snapping your picture at the home base of popular franchises like the counterculture clothing chain Hot Topic, then simply drive around the city, and you’ll literally discover a photo op at every corner.

4. Gateway to Los Angeles and Hollywood

The heart of Hollywood and LA is within about a 20-mile reach of Industry. From the Walk of Fame to the iconic Hollywood sign to the historic La Brea tar pits to the nearby sunny beaches, consider this whole area an instant Insta capital of the world.

You can even experience a taste of Hollywood in Industry. Stand in the parking lot of 1600 S. Azusa Avenue’s Puente Hills Mall and you can recreate for your Insta friends and followers Doc Brown’s famous time travel experiments from the 1980s box office smash Back to the Future.

Rack up the likes with an auto you’ll be proud to proclaim as your own on Instagram. Visit Puente Hills Subaru and browse an inventory worthy of centerpiece status in any photo collection.
