Located in the San Gabriel Valley, City of Industry, CA is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area and an important economic powerhouse in the region. 1. Angeles National Forest

Featuring sprawling wilderness areas, an extensive network of hiking and biking trails, and developed campgrounds, Angeles National Forest is one of the best-known nature reserves among residents of the entire metropolitan area. Encompassing a largely undeveloped area of over 650,000 acres, this place is an oasis of nature that sits right by of one of the largest urban areas in the country.

Established in the early 20th century and managed by the U.S. Forest Service, Angeles National Forest is located just 15 miles north of City of Industry, making it an excellent destination to go on a memorable day trip in your new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. Some of the areas you should check out here include the Icehouse Canyon Trail, Jackson Lake, and the banks of the San Gabriel River.

2. Griffith Park

Offering some of the best views of the sprawling Los Angeles metropolitan area, Griffith Park is located at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains and just 25 miles northwest of City of Industry. Home to the famous Griffith Observatory, this place also features other popular attractions, including the Hollywood Sign, the Los Angeles Zoo, and the Autry Museum of the American West.

Open throughout the year, Griffith Park was established in the late 1890s and is managed by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. This popular attraction welcomes over 10 million visitors each year and can be reached in less than half an hour from City of Industry via routes CA-60 and route I-5.

3. The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens

Established in 1919, The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens is a large complex located at 1151 Oxford Road in the city of San Marino. This place features a series of lush gardens where you can relax in nature, several art galleries, and an impressive library with rare-book collections. Also known as The Huntington, this place is open Wednesday through Monday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
