2024 Subaru Legacy
The Subaru Legacy is one of the few Subarus that is not an SUV. This midsize sedan has a lot to offer, including a choice of engines and standard all-wheel drive. For the 2024 model year, the Legacy has an upgraded stereo system for all trim levels. This is the only major change for this model year. Here's a look at what you can get with the latest Subaru Legacy.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Base Legacy comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, and manually folding, power-adjustable side mirrors. Stepping up to the Premium trim gets you heated side mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, integrated turn signals, and chrome door handles. The Limited adds 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and keyless entry, while the Sport trim has a sunroof, 18-inch gray wheels, a rear spoiler, and a sport-tuned suspension. Choose the top-level Touring XT for power-folding side mirrors and a power moonroof.
Engine (Power)
The base powertrain for the Legacy is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine that produces 182 horsepower. Under the hood of the Sport and Touring XT, you'll find a turbo version of this same four-cylinder that generates 260 horsepower and gets 277 pound-feet of torque. Both of these engines work with a continuously variable automatic transmission and come with all-wheel drive.
Performance
The base engine provides the Legacy with plenty of power, but the turbo's extra horsepower makes it quicker. When you step on the gas in the Sport or Touring XT, it will hit 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. The non-turbo models may be slightly slower off the line, but they are more fuel efficient, achieving up to 30 mpg combined.
Interior
There's room for five in the Legacy. The Base trim has automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, and manually adjustable front seats. The Premium adds heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the Limited has driver's seat memory settings, heated rear seats, and leather upholstery.
Technology in the Legacy starts with two 7-inch central display screens, two USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All Legacy models come with satellite radio. If you step up to the Premium you'll get an 11.6-inch touchscreen with a wireless version of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo comes in the Limited trim, while Touring XT comes with an integrated navigation system.

Every 2024 Subaru Legacy comes with Subaru's EyeSight group of advanced driver aids. This bundle includes forward collision warning with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning. It also comes with lane-keep assist and automatic high-beam headlights.
The Premium trim offers a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert and evasive steering assist, and the Limited trim and above make these features standard equipment. The Limited also adds rear automatic braking and offers a driver monitoring system as an option, and the Touring XT has a front view camera and an enhanced wide-angle camera system to help you see pedestrians and cyclists.
