2023 Subaru Ascent Near Los Angeles, CA
If you're looking for an SUV that blends style and capability, you can't go wrong with the 2023 Subaru Ascent. You'll love the Ascent's exhilarating yet reliable performance, and you'll appreciate its many comfort and connectivity features. You'll also like how the Ascent keeps your most precious cargo secure with its advanced safety technology and turns heads with its exquisite exterior.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Ascent lineup starts with the Base 8-Passenger, featuring 18-inch wheels with a silver finish, mirrors with a Crystal Black Silica finish, and raised roof rails. The Premium 8-Passenger and Premium 7-Passenger feature 18-inch wheels with a gray machine finish, color-keyed mirrors with integrated turn indicators, and color-keyed door handles. On the Onyx Edition 7-Passenger, you'll find 20-inch wheels with a black finish, LED fog lights, and a power tilting/sliding moonroof. The Limited 8-Passenger and Limited 7-Passenger sit atop 20-inch wheels with a dark gray machine finish, while the Onyx Edition Limited 7-Passenger gets a blacked-out grille and matching accents. The Touring 7-Passenger offers power-folding mirrors with a satin chrome finish and chrome door handles.
Engine (Power)
No matter which Ascent you choose, you'll enjoy powerful performance. Every Ascent comes equipped with a 260-horsepower, 2.4-liter DOHC turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 277 pound-feet of torque. This impressive output gives the Base 8-Passenger a 2,000-pound towing capacity. For even more towing capacity, Subaru offers a Class III trailer hitch receiver, available on upper trim levels, that enables the Ascent to tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Performance
The 2023 Ascent comes standard with a continuously variable transmission that optimizes engine response while seamlessly shifting through gears for smooth acceleration and sharp handling. With Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive, the Ascent can smoothly transition from on-road to off-road terrains and adapt to all sorts of unstable driving conditions. An 8.7-inch ground clearance and hill descent control help the Ascent take on rocks, logs, and other obstacles and give you a smoother ride when you're driving down a steep decline.
Interior
Lower trim levels in the Ascent lineup feature comfy cloth surfaces that are easy to clean, while upper trims come with luxurious leather upholstery. When the rear seats are unoccupied, you can fold them flat to take advantage of 72.8 cubic feet of cargo space or 75.6 cubic feet, depending on which model you choose. You'll also enjoy amenities like front- and second-row seats with heating, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 120-volt AC power outlet. With the 11.6-inch touchscreen display, you can access your favorite entertainment apps and hands-free phone functionality, with the Onyx Edition Limited and Touring adding built-in navigation.
Safety Features
The 2023 Subaru Ascent features a pre-collision braking system that can detect vehicles and pedestrians as they enter your path and apply the brakes as needed. Pre-collision throttle minimizes frontal impact force and damage by reducing power to the engine. When a vehicle enters your Ascent's blind-spot zones, you'll get an alert from the blind-spot detection system. A 360-degree surround-view mirror gives you a clear view of your surroundings, and you can also take advantage of adaptive cruise control and a rear cross-traffic monitor.
